Short answer: E-liquid in the UAE comes in two families. Nicotine salt bottles are usually 30ml at 20mg to 50mg and suit small pod kits. Freebase bottles are usually 50ml to 120ml at 0mg to 6mg and suit bigger, cloudier devices. On our shelf in October 2026, both start at AED 35 a bottle. Salt or freebase? Decide by device, not taste
Nicotine salt liquid is smoother at high strength, so it’s sold at 20mg to 50mg for low-power pod kits with tight draws. Freebase liquid feels harsher at the same strength, so it’s sold at 3mg to 6mg for higher-power devices that make big clouds. Putting 50mg salt in a cloud device is a mistake you only make once.

Ratios are written PG/VG throughout. Some brands print VG first, so “70/30 VG/PG” on a NASTY tin means the same as 30/70 here.
Strength: the number to get right
For salts, 20mg suits light smokers, 30mg to 35mg suits most daily smokers, and 50mg suits heavy smokers who still feel cravings at lower strength. For freebase, 3mg is the default; 6mg is for people who want more throat hit in a cloud device. These are starting points, not health advice.

PG and VG in one paragraph
Propylene glycol (PG) is thin and carries flavour and throat hit. Vegetable glycerin (VG) is thick and makes vapour. A 50/50 liquid wicks fast enough for small pod coils. A 30/70 liquid is thicker and can starve a tight 1.2Ω pod, giving dry hits. More in our PG/VG ratio guide.
Dubai heat and your bottles

Why bottle prices may move in 2026
From 1 September 2026, Cabinet Decision No. 137 of 2026 set a minimum excise price of AED 1 per ml for vape liquids, with or without nicotine. Cheap large bottles are the ones this affects most, so check the “last updated” date above before relying on the prices in our tables.

Can I put nic salt in any vape?
Use salts in low-power pod kits with coils of about 0.8Ω or higher. In a high-wattage sub-ohm device, a high-strength salt is harsh and delivers far more nicotine than you expect.
How long does a 30ml bottle last?
It depends entirely on how much you vape. Someone using 2ml a day gets about 15 days from 30ml.
Does e-liquid expire?
Most bottles carry a best-before date. Flavour fades faster after opening and in heat.
Is e-liquid taxed in the UAE?
Yes, at 100% excise, with a minimum excise price of AED 1 per ml from September 2026.
